OUR 2024 SPONSORS:
BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Through the generosity of volunteers, ROW is able to offer robust and engaging practice experiences, fundraising events, and learning opportunities. If you want to support our mission and our athletes, complete our volunteer application form, and we will aim to match your strengths to the variety of volunteer opportunities available throughout the year.
VOLUNTEER AS A ROWER
We welcome volunteers with rowing experience to join us during water practices. Whether we have an odd number of athletes and need help filling out a lineup, or we’re looking for muscle to help carry boats and oars, there is a place for you at the docks. To volunteer as a rower, you must have at least one year of outdoor rowing experience. Please email Katie at katie@recoveryonwater.org.
VOLUNTEER AS A COXSWAIN
Do you have a natural talent for leading, motivating, and directing others? We’d love to hear from you about becoming a volunteer coxswain. While coxswains are traditionally recruited from within a rowing team, due to the need for a petite stature with strong vocals and leadership skills, we are open to expanding our search for the right candidates.
ROW offers training for those new to coxswaining. We do require a commitment of at least four practices per month so you can build a strong connection with the team and vice versa.
Interested? Please reach out to Katie at katie@recoveryonwater.org.
VOLUNTEER AT EVENTS
Not into rowing but still want to support our mission? We have plenty of ways for you to contribute! ROW hosts a variety of annual fundraising events—from St. Patrick’s Day fitness challenges to exciting cycling races and festive galas. We rely on volunteers like you to help make these events a success.
Other Volunteer Opportunities:
Administrative Support
Donor Engagement
Participant Management
Ticket Sales
Floater
No matter your role, we aim to ensure that our volunteers have as much fun as all other event participants, and we’ll be excited to celebrate with you when the event ends. Please email Katie at katie@recoveryonwater.org.
