ROW CELEBRATES THE POWER OF CONNECTION

Recovery on Water’s annual Let the Good Times ROW gala returned this fall in a celebration of the Power of Connection. Connections that sustain ROW and illuminate our purpose — to our bodies, our teammates, and our community. Relive the beautiful night in this photo gallery recap!

On Friday, September 29, gathering in our Bridgeport home on Chicago’s South Side, Recovery on Water delighted in welcoming our larger community to a celebration of our connections. ROW hosted more than 200 guests at Salon LB for an evening of celebration, reflection and new friendships. During the event’s keynote presentation, ROW recognized our debt of gratitude to the volunteers that make our practices possible, and honored our first volunteer Conor Skelding with the 2023 Spirit of ROW award. Conor’s contribution to ROW is additionally meaningful as we lost him to cancer earlier this year. The award was accepted by Conor’s brothers, all past and current ROW volunteers, Cameron, Owen and Aiden.

Helping to make the evening possible were several corporate and individual sponsors: Kathleen Behner, Ozinga, Inseus, the Deighan Skelding family, Clarity Partners, the McNally Neuenschwander family, Absolute Medical, Inc., Sandra Kirmeyer and Tom Opferman, Valauskas Corder, LLC, Jen Groh & Phil Allen, Porte Brown Accountants and Advisors, Melody and Brennan Todd, and Sue Ann Glaser and Allan Alson. Attendees enjoyed endless hors d'oeuvres and libations amid the visually stunning art of the salon, and demonstrated great generosity by pledging more than $30,000 to fund-the-need. It was an incredible evening among new and long-time friends of ROW, celebrating our impact and committing to share it with even more breast cancer survivors in 2024.
