Changing of the Guard

Recovery on Water (ROW) is entering a new chapter of coaching, as we bid a sad farewell to Coach Colin Darnton. Head Coach since 2021, Colin has taken the ROW program to great heights, and taught nearly 200 athletes in that time. Each a survivor emerging from breast cancer that didn’t know she loved or needed the sport.

We are thrilled for Colin as he embarks on an inspiring journey to Ann Arbor, Michigan, to take on a coaching role at his alma mater, the University of Michigan. While we will certainly miss his presence here, we wholeheartedly celebrate him and this exciting new chapter in his life.

Many athletes on the team have known only Colin as Head Coach, while others have celebrated him as one of many great coaches they have learned from. His kindness and dedication are unparalleled, and he has earned the respect and gratitude of the entire ROW organization.

Let's give Coach Colin the send-off he deserves and put our best strokes forward for him! ROW on three! 1,2,3…ROW!
