NEW BOARD CHAIR & VICE CHAIR ELECTED

The Recovery on Water board of directors is a diverse group of business and healthcare professionals whose combined talents and expertise help drive our organization’s strategic initiatives and support our fundraising efforts. In late 2018, we elected a new board chair and vice chair, and we are excited to benefit from their leadership and insight.

Last night, during ROW’s annual meeting and team dinner, we took a moment to thank Fran Tuite for her years of service—she has served as board chair since 2012—and to recognize her critical role in our success. We then introduced David Skelding as the new board chair and Laura McNally as the new vice chair.

David Skelding has been a member of the ROW board since 2013, and we are excited about the new perspective he brings to our work. He first became involved with rowing in 2006 when his sons joined the St. Ignatius Chicago Rowing junior program; David then served as president of his sons’ St. Ignatius program from 2009-2012. A dedicated advocate for ROW athletes and programs, David brings to his role valuable experience as the principal of Spokes Advisory,

where he provides legal, compliance, governance and operations advice to business entities and not-for-profits.

A ROW team member since 2016, Laura McNally joined the board just last year, and her legal knowledge has already been of incredible value to our work. She brings vast experience, uncompromising professionalism and rich community insight to her role as vice chair. Laura is a partner in the litigation department at the law firm of Loeb & Loeb, where she heads the Chicago Pro-Bono Committee; serves as a faculty member for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy; and volunteers at Northwestern Memorial Hospital's Healing Boutique.

Both David and Laura will be assisting ROW staff in collaborating with the board as a whole, and together we will work to ensure our organization’s continued sustainability and success.
